Plan with Shadows

I am working on translating the shadows on to the plans. Here is the first example. I still plan to change the colors on the plans so that the translucent pieces read better and the stairs aren't quite so dominant.

The shadows add a nice touch, and start to show the movement of light through your building.

You should treat the light differently across the building, the shadows should get blurrier as they pass through the filters.

The process of filtering changes the character of the light, with each filter, the light should continue to change its character.

Annie,

Your plans start to talk now. Think about Steven's comments with keeping in mind that it will get darker as you get deeper into the building. Your pattern is convincing.

Any chance that the play of light and shadow will make it into some interior 3D views and the sections?

The relation with the program becomes clear (to me) now: the dominant filter (= facade)is also a screen that projects 3D images. Is that too far fetched?

Keep pushing!

One more thought:
At night would the filtering be "reversed" and the shadows cast on the sidewalk? Try to render a section of the ground floor plan in this reverse mode.
